To have to be subjected to an arranged marriage. Hmmm....one wonders how they would react and interact with their spouse? Me personally, I'm not sure how I would react but I don't think anyone would be able to say for sure in till they find themselves in that particular situation.
Elise ~ She's your everyday typical 19yr old, who believes she's in love with her best friend Bryan. She and Bryan both have hopes of becoming mates only to have her father (also their Alpha) throw a major monkey wrench in their way. She finds herself being told that she is to be mated to Kane, a perfect stranger and to make matters worse they are to be mated only mere hours after meeting. She struggles with everything and tries to make heads or tails of the situation.
As she becomes closer physically with Kane she begins to try make sense of her emotions and feelings for Kane and also for Bryan Of course what story would be complete without the vicious B***H Marla! As Elise tries to please Kane she finds herself being easily manipulated by Marla and ignored by Kane. Although Elise is naïve on her part when it comes to several situations, you've also have to realize all of this is relatively new to her. Going from her Pack to a completely NEW Pack where she only knows Kane.
Kane ~ Our big strong Alpha, he's also not above being manipulated by Marla unfortunately. Instead of listening to his new mate Elise he choses to ignore her and listen to Marla, not realizing she is just using him and also driving a wedge between him and Elise. At some points he was TOO dominate for his on good and overshadowed reason. Although he does finally see the light of day but it cost him greatly.
Overall this is great read and great characters. I recommend to everyone.
